Faux Taxidermy Unicorn 2 by SovaeArt Faux Taxidermy Unicorn 2 by SovaeArt
An updated version of my 2008 taxidermy unicorn: sovaeart.deviantart.com/art/Un…
I wanted to get a sort of more realistic, rough look. Less of the fine clay and obvious sculpture effect. As much as I loved that ol' guy.

This new one is lifesize (3 ft long from back to front horn tip.) Horn is removable, glass eyes, foam base, air dry clay, mohair (no pelts used) scavenged deer hair eyelashes!. Other bits and pieces. Everything but the kitchen sink.

It's for sale on ETSY: www.etsy.com/listing/158289450…

If I saw that while walking in the dark I'd book it xD!

But it's so realistic at the same time!

I have a very nice long twisted shells, which can replace the horn. I think you can find them ...

Never been into shells as horns, I've seen a few sculptures using them.

I think with seashells, you can take a realistic texture ...
